A Journey to Neuroinclusion

Neuroinclusion is not one action, one policy or one training session. It is an ongoing process of listening, learning, adapting and redesigning.

Build awareness

Building awareness often starts with helping people understand neurodiversity, hidden effort and different ways of thinking, processing and working. This may include awareness sessions, leadership engagement, lived experience stories and creating shared language across the organisation.

Understand Your Baseline

Before meaningful change can happen, organisations need to understand the real experiences of their people rather than relying on assumptions. This can include staff surveys, focus groups, listening sessions and exploring where hidden barriers or unnecessary effort exist.

Targeted Interventions

As understanding grows, organisations can begin building practical support through knowledge, skills and behaviour change. This may include manager training, coaching, communication skills, workplace strategies and more practical approaches to adjustments and support.

Review Systems and Processes

Many barriers are unintentionally created through the way work is designed. Reviewing recruitment, onboarding, meetings, communication norms and performance processes can help organisations identify where systems may be creating unnecessary friction.

Resources and Support Structures

Over time, organisations often benefit from creating clearer and more sustainable routes to support. This may include guidance and toolkits, employee resource groups, champions, peer support networks and clearer adjustment pathways.

Embed Into Culture

As neuroinclusion becomes more established, it moves beyond isolated activity and into everyday working life. Leadership behaviours, team norms, ongoing conversations and inclusive habits begin shaping culture more consistently across the organisation.

Continue Listening and Evolving

Neuroinclusion is not a finished project or a final destination. Organisations continue learning over time through feedback, reflection, review and adapting as the needs of their people and workplaces evolve.
